What Others Say about "Ancestral Chen Tai Chi
Chuan" Complete Collection 33 DVDs by Chen Xiao Wang
"Outstanding and very
affordable "
by Gerard P. - Montpellier
(France)
Chen
style Tai Chi was my first internal martial art, then as many
practitioners I changed into many other disciplines suhc as Xingyiquan
and even Baguazhang, after almost ten years of practice, I understood
that the most complete approach for internal strength is still Chen
style TCC, in my opinion, and such great master such as Chen Xiao Wang
are among the most knowledgable experts to give any serious adept real
substance in perfecting his internal skills.
I am back in Chen style which this tremendious series of Chen TCC,
thanks to Chen Xiawang.
" Chen TJQ's
virtuoso " by
Master Paul B. Author of Taichi articles - Singapore
I am
impressed by the mastery of softness and power demonstrated by Chen
Xiaowang. These are the real attainment in internal martial arts,
explosive power but also strong qinnah... Chen XW gives a very honest
method of building up these power abilities with one complete serie
"Chansigong". These are the keys in the spiraling power that while be
used thouroughly in any Chen posture whatever in Xinjia or in
Laojia, Danbian
will remain always the "dantian"
work to be "externalized" up to mutate into a whipping strength...
I
noticed also an excellent advise picked among many
others: -
the returning phase of energy - that many adepts underestimate, putting
more the emphasis in the externalisation of power, but this second
phase in the Yin "healing" aspect that should be integrated consciously
in any complete move.
Most recommended for any Tai Chi learner.
" Chen Xin's book and
Chen Xiao Wang's 33DVDs: the best of Chen TJQ" by
Hoo. Men. G. - Seoul
At last
I was able to find the perfect complementary knowledge, the practical
one... after acquiring Chen Xin's "Illustrated explanations of Chen
Family Taijiquan".
http://www.illustrated-explanations-chen-taijiquan.com
The
oral explanations of Chen XW and his practical exercises are really in
line with the more esoteric thus interesting theories of Chen Xin. Chen
XW goes one step ahead in his series chnasigong by mentionning several
different axis for "dantian" twisting. But also the practical
applications performed by Chen XiaoWang are the expressions of the
superiority of "whole body" spiral force over "conventional" power much
restricted to one singular group of muscles.
Hope that you'll enjoy these great materials too. A must. A question anyway why a so low price for these quality videos?

watch
extract
|
In this video
Master Chen Xia Wang exposes the fruits of more than 50 years of
research in Taijiquan's theory.
The explanations given are deep and without restriction as to clarify
many misleading points and believes existing
today among Tai Chi Chuan circle. Among the fundamental questions
answered here.
1."What is the central dynamic frame of Taijiquan's training?"
Answer: "The body's central engine: dantian area."
2. "What is the criteria in Taijiquan concerning relaxation?"
3. "What is the major goal for all requests concerning whole body and
all body'sparts?"
All these questions are related to the accumulation of Qi in dantian area. As
Master Chen Xiao Wang said: "If a Taijiquan's practitioner does not
know how to train his dantian
or does not understand the energetic meridians for Qi
circulation, his life long training is useless".
These
are the very precious practical explanations of ancestral knowledge in
line with Chen Xin's book: "Illustrated Explanations of Chen
Family Taijiquan".:

19-posture form is
a form created by Chen Xiao Wang as to facilitate the
access to Chen Taijiquan for a larger audience of practitioners.
It will aso provide an excellent tool to build up a solid basis before
starting the more advanced Laojia Yilu Form.
Mostly in softness, movements will change into hardness within the
course of softness.
The
movements are large, continuously flowing, mostly favorable for "silk
reeling" deployment, requiring mind quietness and body stability.
This
form is excellent for health. Each movement involves any part of the
body. In each static posture each bone requested reaches its perfect
alignment.
Waist is the origin of explosive strength. By
mastering the dynamics of waist, you'll integrate in any movement the
spiral twisting power.
Dominating (static adverse) form by
another(superior dynamic) form. Breath naturally. Subtantial and
unsubstantial are clearly separated. Withdraw chest and drop hips.
Condensing and expansing. Slow and fast. All dynamic properties of Yin
Yang Law applied in movements are explored here.

Set 4: Lao Jia (Old frame) Forms of Chen-style Taijiquan |
|

watch extract |
Laojia Frames: they
were created by Chen
Changxing, 14th Inheritor of Chen Taijiquan. From ancestral frames of
his ancestor Chen Wanting which include
5th Road (Wulu), Cannon
fist, 108-posture Form , Changxing created Laojia Yilu and Erlu. Yilu
is mostly based on softness but Erlu has hardness in the the course of
softness.
Here movements are large, steps agile and steady. Body movements are
natural. Internal strength leads all parts of the body.
Silk
reeling is the core principle, movements are originated from waist then
allowing the progressive involvement of all sections of the body.
Each movement unifies all parts of body as a whole. In each static
posture each bone is requested to reach its perfect alignment.
Moving
as water, without interrupting silk reeling process, when exploding
power you should be like releasing a shaking and stretched elastic
force with a body full of "Qi".method.

Set 5: Xin Jia (New Frame) Yi Lu of Chen-style Taijiquan |
|
|
Xinjia Yilu
(83-posture): after the creation
of Laojia by Chen Wangting, it was later the turn for the 17th
Inheritor, Chen Fake,
grand Father of Chen Xiao Wang, to create XinJia (New Frame). Among its
specifities: large, low and steady postures.
Main techniques used are (peng,lu,ji,an) while auxiliary techniques
(cai,lie,zhou,kao).
Each movement involves any part of the body. In each static posture
each bone is requested to reach its perfect alignment.
The main principle to respect is "softness transforming into
lightness". (Power) exertion and lightness are auxiliary.
Inside softness there is hardness. Constantly seeking for gentle and
uninterrupted movements.
Movements are externally relaxed, soft and steady. But they contain, in
less proportion, hardness and jumping.
When using strength always use spiral force, applying as a requested
principle "body guiding hand",
waist as the main axis, whirling wrist and turning arm, whirling waist
and turning spine, whirling ankle and turning knee,
many techniques are exposed, involving particularly the transformation
of waist and chest, the elasticity required is
comparatively more obvious here while movements are well designed..

Set 6: Xin Jia (New Frame) Cannon Fist of Chen-style Taijiquan |
|

watch extract |
Chen style
Taijiquan's Xinjia Er Lu (Second
Road) is called Cannon Fist. Here movements are quite sophisticated,
containing directly applications of the four
principles (cai, lie, zhou, kao) and indirectly the four others principles
(peng,lu,ji,an). Power should be softness within hardness. Power issuing (fa jing)
requests Shaking foot.
Dodging, evading and jumping in combat. Relaxed while issuing a shaking
impact.
The main conditionning is to improve elasticity of internal strength.
It appears directly fast-paced, hard and leaping and indirectly slow,
soft and steady.
Soft movements request hands guiding body and steps synchronization,
With internal strength control, movements start only if the internal
body is moving.
As a result each movement request full cooperation of whole body
with each section practicipating progressivelly.

Chansigong I, II and III in Chen-style Taijiquan |
|

watch extract |
"Chansigong" or Taijiquan silk reeling exercise
is the major basic
training in Chen Style Taijiquan. This training can be divided in two
categories:
- first category: using the front plan with the centre of "dantian"
area as the axis
- second category: using the side plan with the transversal side of
"dantian" area as the axis.
As
we can notice both categories refer to "dantian" area as the core. When
a movement is performed all body is involved by connecting
progressively
each section to the others. There is an old saying in Chen Taijiquan circle: "among all myriads of
possible transformations(physical exercises), only
"chansigong" exercises will bring you the total benefits of half of all of them."

Pushing Hands in Chen-style Taijiquan |
|

watch extract |
In the first video Chen XW starts by explaining the basic
purpose of Push Hands: its relation to form and to self defense. He
demonstrates the basic of Single Fixed, Double Fixed, Double Fixed
Step. Next he shows Free Step Push Hands. Overall he shows many
versions of everything and gives two forms of explanation: the first
covers the details of the basic exercises requirements, the next covers
details relating to usage and "making it all work". He does this is a
very instructive way by actually doing Push Hands and then stopping and
showing at what points he would execute which techniques. In the
second video Chen explains the principles of Push Hands and its
relationship to the form. He discusses the relationship of errors to
decreased Qi flow. Then he shows the individual movements out of the
form for specific self defense situations. In his sixties Chen is still
, accurate and forceful. He shows many overlapping variations to reveal
the depth of the movements and their meanings. He demonstrates
explosive power from relaxed movements. Here he performs Old Frame
created by the 14th generation successor, Chen Chang Xing. This is said
to be based on Chen Wan Ting's #5 Cannon Boxing and the old 108
Routine. He also demonstrates the 38 posture Chen Taijiquan for which
he is famous.
